Chaplains

Todd’s been a full-time campus pastor at UBCO since 2016 after previously working as a pastor, professor and missionary in several countries. He loves to explore with students and faculty how all things—what we study, what we research, what we imagine and hope—‘hold together in Christ’ (Colossians 1:17). He is a sessional lecturer at UBC and also coordinates the campus’s new Spirituality and Multifaith Chaplaincy.

Todd is an ordained pastor in the Christian Reformed Church and lives in Kelowna with his wife and three children.

Okanagan college

Curtis Meliefste

Curtis started in Fall 2023 as part-time campus pastor at Okanagan College. A husband, father of five, preacher, and long-time youth pastor in the Lower Mainland, he’s now studying at Calvin Seminary to become an ordained pastor of the Christian Reformed Church. He brings to energy to campus work and a passion for Christ along with theological integrity and a love for good conversation.

Curtis admits to being a wannabe hobby farmer who occasionally puts aside his coffee cup and theology book to earn some callouses on his “dominie hands” at his family’s dairy farm in the north Okanagan.
